CAMPING

Camp Birch is located in Yellow Springs, Ohio and is the home camp of the Tecumseh Council. Birch is 25 acres of mostly wooded land with a 10 acre lake, range, swimming pool, climbing tower, cope course, and lots of campsites. Birch is also the location for the famed Klondike Derby winter campout.

Chief Logan Reservation is nestled among the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, about twenty miles southeast of Chillicothe. Activities include lake events, repelling tower, and high adventure merit badges are offered including: wilderness survival, orienteering, hiking, and backpacking.

Camp Oyo is located in the hills of Shawnee State Forest in Portsmouth, Ohio. This historic camp is marked by several 1930's era CCC cabins and is a favorite of Troop 75 during our annual February campout.

HIGH ADVENTURE

Troop 75 generally offers scouts a high adventure on a yearly basis. Past adventures include:

Haliburton Scout Reserve, is located 150 miles north of Toronto, Canada. Imagine a wooded 5000 acre with 10 sparkling lakes and the smell of fresh pine. Travel from island to island by canoe and test your skills on Survival Island.

Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier high-adventure base is located in Cimarron, New Mexico. This high-adventure base challenges Scouts with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.

Other high adventures include Northern Tier, Florida Sea Base, Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Sea Kayaking, and Alaskan trips. The possibilities are endless and you make the choices where you want to go.

Ok, now that you want to join us, here's what you do.

First, fill out a scout application (see below). While your at it, have your parents fill out the adult applicaiton so they can have fun too. The first year you pay for your dues but after that, it's paid for by the troop from your wreath sales.

Bring your application, fee ($25), and parent to one of our meetings and hold on, because its a fast, fun ride on the scout wagon. We look forward to your joining us.
